Great Big Xeko THANK YOU!

August 9, 2012

We’ve finally had a chance to catch our breath (and catch up on sleep!) from the awesome Kickstarter effort.

Our Kickstarter was processed this week (w00t!) and we’re now reconciling things and finalizing the game development plan. Backers, keep your eyes peeled for the Xeko rewards survey coming by the end of this week.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s efforts in making this happen with great big thanks to YOU and special thanks to the team that put in 150% to get us to the goal:

Dylan Hundley and Nolan Bushnell; the HQ crew: Counselor, Sir Hax Alot, Ari, Cohen, Troublemaker, Code Surfer and Dove; Artists Fudo, Michel Gagne, Craig Thomas and Joel Payne; Animal Advisors Liao, Girard, Kurt, Bob, Brian and Luke; Special Agent Seth; Harper Hulk; Mamma Marie; Mateo; Super Fans [you KNOW who you are!]; Xekoshop; Xeko Forums; the SF Animal Ambassadors; El Condor; Twitter & blogger friends; and our special lemur friends at Sifaka Productions.

Last, but not least, special thanks to Michael Williams, Oomba CEO, and Xeko’s biggest fan.

Now, time to make a great game & a big difference!

In gratitude,

Amy

And the Fans Go WILD!!!!

July 10, 2012
Xeko fans take over the San Francisco Ferry Terminal

A group of AMAZING Xeko friends and fans showed up this weekend in San Francisco to don animal outfits, dance, pass out flyers, and make merry to help raise awareness for our Kickstarter campaign. In all, we had 10 endangered animals join the parade and passed out almost 1,000 flyers. Stay tuned for the video in the works. Never did I imagine such a remarkable day and group of fans. As of this update, the Xeko Kickstarter is 77% funded with 11 days to go. W00t!!!!

Through the Kickstarter, we connected with another conservation game, Sifaka World, and they’ve emailed their player base and pledged a significant amount to help get Xeko to the goal. We also connected with #RocktheOSA who are putting together a benefit concert to help save an old growth track of Costa Rica rainforest via an Indigogo campaign that ends this Saturday. We love their cause and are happy to support (www.rocktheOSA.com). Turns out they were hosting a similar event the very next day. The universe works in mysterious and magical ways.

On the Xeko front, we’re still not counting any chickens, looking for more animal angels, need each and everyone of you to keep posting and tweeting, and will be hosting another animal event this week with more to come.

Thanks everyone for your amazing support — you’re the best fans a girl or game or panda or bee or tiger or tigress or lion or eagle or penguin or caterpillar or cub or koala could ever dream for….you wild and beautiful homo sapiens sapiens, you!
